Sunny and David helped us sell our townhouse — in the middle of a global pandemic, when condo and townhouse prices were down 10-15% because buyers wanted detached homes. Similar townhouses had sat on the market unsold and even lowered their prices. We were super nervous about losing money and considered waiting until the covid-19 crisis passed.

We chose Sunny and David after doing research: we looked up their MLS numbers and confirmed that they had experience selling, not just buying. Then we compared their sale prices to the Redfin estimates at the time of sale. We did the same thing for other real estate agents. Sunny and David had lots of listings, and Redfin’s algorithm thought they consistently sold for above the market rate, even compared to other agents.

We met them and a few other agents. What impressed us was how Sunny especially worked for it, with a detailed follow-up that directly addressed our questions and concerns. So we took a chance.

They made suggestions for what work to do on the house so it would show well. Mostly it was just adding some recessed lights and painting. Compared to other townhouses in our community that has sold, Sunny and David’s team used better staging and produced higher quality photos. That was crucial for getting buyer interest.

Then it came to pricing. Sunny recommended a pretty shockingly low list price, to entice buyers and a bidding war. We decided to trust her and David completely and we went with the low list price. It worked beyond our wildest hopes. We sold in one week with 10+ offers. Three beat the price we were hoping for, and the winner exceeded our highest expectations.

Throughout it all, Sunny and David were helpful and aggressively negotiated to get us the best deal. They’re really, really good at what they do, and I don’t think we could possibly have gotten a better outcome.

Just one caveat, which is why I give them 4.5 stars instead of 5: your choice of real estate agent is personal. My partner found them a bit high-powered and dominant at times, and would have been more comfortable dealing with a more mellow agent, even if it meant a slightly lower sales price. I was the one who handled most of the interactions, and I feel like it was a worthwhile tradeoff.
